Scientific objectives
The instrument will be used to monitor the geomagnetic field as well as the ultra-low frequency (ULF) waves in the cusp latitude. It is part of the conjugate chain with the Yellow River station in Ny-Ålesund and the Zhongshan station in Antartica.
